Photo Frenzy

My sweet baby boy is 5 weeks old today! I don't know where the time has gone. I must have a million pictures of him already but when I look at his sweet face all I can see is how much he has already grown.

I really want to share my birth story when I have enough time and energy to sit down and think about it and type it out. I was so fortunate to have had so many wonderful women willing to share all the details of their child birth experience with me that I want to do the same courtesy for others. I have to say that as a whole, my experience was awesome. It's an experience I wouldn't trade for anything.

When I look into this face I know there is something I've done in my life that was exactly, perfectly right.

I can't believe I stayed up all night last night and most of the day today with my sweet boy and now I'm wide awake but sweet pictures like this make it worth it.

The New Normal

So I've been looking forward to my mom coming to stay the night all day. I've been exhausted from being up with Crawford and a little sleep break is always welcome. It's not so much the lack of sleep that is killer, but the lack of consecutive hours of sleep. So, I spent all day looking forward to like, seven straight hours of sleep and here I am at midnight wide awake! Figures!

I went to work today. I also worked a few days last week. My mom and Caleb's mom are God sends. They have made the slight transition so easy on me. It's hard being away from my sweet boy and I'm sure I won't win mother or the year by starting back work after 4 weeks, but I've come to terms with this being my journey with my baby and I have to do what's right for us. Caleb is so supportive of my career and my decisions so I just have to know that what I'm doing is right. It is so incredibly hard though. I think about sweet Crawford in the middle of the day and have mini panic attacks thinking of what he is doing at that moment and if he's content or not. I love that kid so freakin much, it is unreal, even to me.

We got in some great quality time this evening though. Makes these moments all the much sweeter. Love that baby smile!

Weekend in Review

Whew...we had a whirlwind of a weekend!

Two birthday parties and 3 bridal showers later, we are exhausted, party of 3, but we enjoyed the warm weather and good company!

Also, our new Honest Company shipment arrived! Yay!

We are all looking forward to a beautiful week! Hope the warm weather lasts!

Nail Art

One of my few indulgences.

Not too long ago I couldn't care less about what my nails looked like, but being a lawyer means a lot of pointing and saying "sign here." It didn't take long for me to get right embarrassed about how atrocious my nails looked.

I started getting manicures on a regular basis about a year ago. I do the gel polish because regular polish doesn't last and I HATE acrylic.  I loooove my nail tec. She's amazing, and such an artist!! If you live anywhere near chesterfield I highly recommend her! Hit me up for her contact info.

Tonight I got some funky fresh new nails. Love 'em!

one whole month

When I started this I thought I'd be so much more consistent with my posts since I love reading other blogs so much, but let's face it: the fact that I'm still posting at all is a victory as far as I'm concerned!

Our baby boy is one whole month old today! Where has the time gone?!  I know I'm so incredibly biased, but is he not just the best thing ever?!

So incredibly in love with that face!

We've been taking monthly photos with the sweetest hallmark month by month stickers we received as a gift from my <not so> little brother and his awesome girlfriend. They even came with a neat little book to save each month's photo! Love it.

Anyway, lots of moms have asked if his diaper is a cloth. It's definitely not cloth (wish I could be a super mom like that). It's actually an Honest Company diaper. They are so amazing. Crawford baby has super sensitive skin and their earth friendly diapers and wipes are so much more gentle on his little bottom than anything else we've tried. I so recommend them, if only for the super sweet patterns they have! Check it out at honest.com. I love that they are as affordable as they are precious. Right now Crawford is rockin' the the plaid and skull and crossbone patterns. We're expecting a new shipment any day now and I'm excited about new patterns. It's the little things that make me happy :)

Happy hump day, peoples!

Catching Up

I'll pretend that my life is overly busy and fabulous with everything going on right now but honestly I think the final weeks of this pregnancy are making me lazy!

In a very tiny nutshell: we've finally moved into our new home, we celebrated our first Christmas together as the Campbells and today we're exactly 3 weeks away from our due date!

Baby C will be here before we know it!
